Question
about
presentation
using your
book(s)
Ms. Southgate,
Good Afternoon!
I met you last
year at the
South Carolina
Science Council
Conference in
Myrtle Beach.
I have read all
three of your
books and used
the first one to
introduce my 5th
grade classes to
Science Fair
Projects and how
to complete
them. We
had a Science
Fair at our
school for the
first time in
February and it
was a great
success.
I am planning on
submitting a
proposal to
present at this
years conference
and I would like
to include your
book as a
resource.
I would like to
share with other
teachers how I
used it to get
my whole school
excited about
science and
completing a
project. (I
dressed up as DJ
Jazzy Jakki and
the Science Rap
crew and we
performed your
science rap on
our televised
morning show!!)
I know that you
were at last
year’s
conference and I
was wondering if
you had plans to
be there this
year. I
don’t want to
repeat what you
or someone from
Showboard might
be doing if they
have already
made plans to
attend.
I love your
books and I am
planning on
using “No Place
Like Periwinkle”
with my
Landforms unit
next year.
I have also
gotten my
principal to
agree to buy
class sets of
“Agnes Pflumm
and the
StoneCreek
Science Fair”
for next years
classes.
Are you
currently
working on any
other books??
Thanks for
giving teachers
such a great and
fun
J
resource to use
in our
classrooms.
